hey joule, sorry I can't join you guys this weekend. but if you need anything, I'll be more than happy to "unofficially" help you guys out! and don't worry about the technicalities...its EEEEZY! If the judges ask you the HOWs remember to throw in a bunch of technical jargon that they won't understand (even if you don't understand it yourself)! That'll keep them quiet. :)

hi!

here's the contest update! the registration period for the groups is over. so far there are only 4 people who are "offically" registered in our group.

"reikko","kageyama","seid", and me "keitaro"

due to some stupid deadline and additional rules the group got reduced to 4 members "offically"... - each member must submit a copy of their id or reg form... we only submitted our copies... if we only knew about this then everyone could've joined "officially".

the only option for everyone to participate is to become "contributors" or "unoffical members". this way we'll just split the profit in some way. but this means you guys must teach us your tricks so that when the four "official" members are asked how we did it, we can answer... the submition date is ten days from now (july 27) that means we only have little time for it. is it ok if you guys to stay overnight at someplace (mine or...)this weekend? just to finish it in time. well that's it for now. details, more to come.

oh yeah if possible we need additional pcs... so aaron if your reading, bring yours too (if we overnight at my place... network... - must have lan card)

hey Joule, atleast now you can type "***" here!!! :) Remember that!!!? =) This ASP version of the nOTES stores messages in a database rather than in a huge TXT file.

Oh yea, Koji, the date stamp is different when I post because I'm using OPERA 5...the FASTEST BROWSER ON EARTH!!!! Download a copy for yourself! Its only 2MB!!! I like it way more than IE and Netscape shmuck.

hmmm... "my" sites are always tricky... are they expecting back-end programming too? if so, you'll need a database for each student letting them personalize the site. but then again...who goes to the apc sites anyway??? or maybe they're expecting a sort of college-wide bulletin board system. kinda like http://talk.philmusic.com?? but then again...I don't think I'll have much time to help out...July 27 is just around the corner!!!! What are your ideas for the site if you're going to join Joule?

hrhrhr... cool! it's a "brand new" notes page...

i have a new scanner and a new mouse... now i can make comics again!

web design competition "myapc.edu.ph" rules and regulations

1. any group of students of apc is eligable to enter this contest. register with the itrg (since mis dept have a bad rep they changed their name) and look for mr chris g haravata.
2. groupings can consist of any number of students. no outsider or professional can participate.
3. group can submit any number of entry as long as the content of each are unique. no same elements.
4. all design elements may be used, as long as it conforms with the theme of the it week.
5. deadline is on july 27 2001.
6. one week viewing of all works will be displayed from july 30 august 3 2001. students can vote for their favorite design during that period. final judging and awarding will be at august 3 2001 in the afternoon.
7. a panel of judges will be announced during august 3.
8. entries with porno and abusive content as well as violation of tos... (bleach) are disquialified... (duh)
9. questions just see mr haravata of itrg (mis...)

The nOTES page will now be hosted by BRINKSTER using ASP !!! Sorry that all the previous notes for july have been erased. I checked out the page this morning to find Tripod had deleted my entire CGI/BIN directory!!!!! Out of my frustration, I spent the entire day creating an ASP version of the nOTES scripts. I do hope this will work a lot better. Enjoy!!!
