May 27, 2001 Watched BATTERY at my old highschool, TFCA. Was so surprised they actually did play there that I just had to take pictures of the event. Michael was telling me this is like a Nostalgia for you? It was mighty cool seeing the people from the school again. Hadn't been there since graduation. Didn't really like the religious institute back then. I just got my diploma and never returned...until today!!! hahaha!! May 25, 2001 Was my friend Deon's birthday today. He brought along his friend Philip (who has a car) and I to Barbie's Cradle's Coffee Shop gig tour. Met up with Carl and this girl, Daphne. What was crazier was bumping into all these people I hadn't seen in years. Like my 3rd grade classmates from Brent!!! Its cool I still recognized them. :) May 24, 2001 Mox is such a great guy. He met my friends and I after watching the Mummy 2 by himself and invited us to watch it again with him since he missed the first 10 minutes of the show. None of us had any money for a movie, so either he desperately wanted to see the first 10 minutes or he is EXTREMELY generous, but whatever it was he payed for our tickets and brought us to the theatre. What a great guy! May 19, 2001 I just got an email from the TechSupport at Brinkster.com gladly telling me they fixed some bugs in their system giving me the GO! signal to launch the BATTERY WEB FORUM!!!. Check it out : click here May 18, 2001 : 3:30AM Just came home from a beautiful Moonstar88 gig. Got to meet their bassist, Paolo who designed their site and directed one of their music videos. And I also met Owie, this British girl who hangs out with the band a lot. It was such a cool way to end the tiring week of redundant work at Trend Micro. Also, I'm so excited for my cousin in Nepal, Angnima. Just received news that he's starting out as a missionairy to Tibet. The work sounds dangeourous, but what an adventure he'll have spreading the good news about Jesus to the people of Tibet. May 01, 2001 Woke up around 12NN after coming home. Later in the afternoon, I met up with Cheryl to see her fantastic Art Exhibit at Brent. I went together with my buddies Leandro and Kim. I also got together with Carl the cool webmaster dude of Barbie's Cradle's website. May 01, 2001 : 4:52AM Just came home from the PULP Summer Slam. Watched BATTERY, Barbie, and Moonstar88 play!!! Over a dozen other bands played as well. Left at around 3:30AM and it still wasn't done. Rode home with Acel from Moonstar88, Jhun, and my friends. It was great fun but now I'm dead tired. April 29, 2001 After more than a year of being out of shape...I played FOOTBALL today with some of Deon's Football friends!!! Shoot I am so rusty. Came home with a blister on each foot, a bruised knee and a cramped leg. But it was great fun still. Anything for the love of the game. April 27, 2001 : 6:30AM If you've been following Philippine news, you may have heard that the deposed President Estrada was jailed a few days ago. A whole mass of his payed supporters are rioting for his release. In this crazy event, I just came home from Iris' place. We walked through a mob of so called 'People Power 3' hooligans last night. It was horrible woddling around the trashed highway squeezing through the rioters. There was no way I could get get home so my friend Adrian and I spent the night at Iris' place. April 22, 2001 Spent the weekend at Dong's house with Mox. Dong's mom made so much great Korean food for us to eat!!!! April 18, 2001 Went to MOONSTAR88's gig where they launched their really awesome music videos (download a clip from their website!). Met Acel and Teng from the band, as well as Carl, the webmaster dude of Barbie's Cradle's site. Oh, and to front Moonstar88 was this hilarious punk band called Kamikaze. They had an interesting punk-rock version of Britney Spear's song. heheheheh. I didn't bring my camera to the event, but I'll borrow photos to scan from Dennis. April 17, 2001 Bye bye summer vacation...Today is my first day of Internship at TREND Micro. April 16, 2001 : 9:00PM - Went to "Against the Flow's" 4th year anniverary party at NU107. Had loads of fun! Barbie and Michael each broadcast some of their new stuff. I also met this white Australian chick who speaks better Tagalog than anyone on the island. April 08, 2001 I went over to the NU107 Summer Shebang at the Fort Bonifacio last night. I met this really nice lady at the YOGA booth. It was funny actually, I went in with my friend Warren and she smiled at me and exclaimed "Hi!". I said "Hi!" back. My other friend, Romwuald asked me if I knew her. No, I didn't know her. Then she asked me if I wanted the dessert she was selling. I asked her how much. She said she'd pay for it. "Wow, Thank You!" Free dessert!!! Her name turned out to be Christine (Kristine?). Really nice meeting someone that way. :) Later on, I went over to the UP Sunken Garden to spend the night. My friends pitched a tent, but I slept on the grass. Had loads of fun! April 02, 2001 I've got a sniff and a sore throat because I didn't do much sleeping over the weekend. But I don't mind because we worked really hard for PROJMAN giving us a great grade for the subject today. Now there's the Professional Ethics exam to worry about... Besides school stuff...let me announce that I bought Moonstar88's album recently! They play cool music. March 25, 2001 LEADERSHIP TRAINING WAS COOL!!! Had tons of fun there! I'll have to be in school at 08:00AM later to depart for a 3 day school sponsored Leadership Training in some resort. It'll be loads of fun!!! Prepare for new cool photographs!!! March 21, 2001 Had my first interview for internship at a small Software Development firm called SYNERGY. I'm going to have to take a 6 month internship starting June. February 14, 2001 Ey, its Valentine's Day. Funny how commercialism has effected society to buy into their schemes. Flowers, cards, chocolates and especially the color pink was everywhere. Honestly, if I was to buy a girl a flower, I'd have a pot to go with it. A rose wrapped in plastic wilts away so fast, but a pot full of soil and fertilizer would keep the flowers alive. Life is precious, love is precious. We shouldn't play around with it. :) February 08, 2001 A lot of fuss has been going on around my Professional Ethics class. Everyone hates the teacher and wants her to quit. Student democracy is cool. February 03, 2001 I biked to Mox's house in the afternoon fighting over the road with all the Jeepneys. Later on in the evening, I went over to my sister's birthday party. A lot of people showed up but didn't really hang with them. Maybe I'm just too anti-social. Oh, but it was a really pleasant surprise to meet up with some people I hadn't seen in quite some time. February 02, 2001 I hung out with Jimmy and Jaedee of NU107 tonight. We went over to ABS-CBN where Jaedee showed off her other job as a evening newscaster. It was really cool hanging out with them. It was very interesting to see how things worked behind the facade of media hype and glamour. For instance, there was a lady who was all nicely dressed up at the top with make-up and neatly combed hair, but below she wore casual pants and slippers. Funny eh? January 27, 2001 Today I played CounterStrike with my friends...stupid game...then watched Little Nicky...stupid movie. I'm thinking of re-layouting the sTUFF page. I feel like its a bit messy right now. January 24, 2001 I found the website of my old school in Nepal so I added a link to it in the Nepal links page. January 20, 2001 10:00pm - I had the photos from last night developed. Honestly, they suck! All my shots were intended to capture the scene of the crowd in the background, but my automatic camera made things look darker than it was. I'll try borrowing my friends' photos to scan tomorrow..they're hopefully better than mine. Nevertheless, I posted 6 photographs in the Photo Gallery at the sTUFF page. January 20, 2001 PEOPLE POWER RULES!!! ERAP quit!!! I went to the anti-erap rally with my friends last night. It took us an hour and a half just to squeeze our way to a place near enough to see the stage. Estimates say more than a million people gathered. Took a few photographs of funny slogans. I'll develop them later and post them up for you to see. January 18, 2001 11:00PM- Mox and I walked in the middle of EDSA, climbing one of the flyovers and cutting through the Anti-ERAP rally. I'm planning to go again tomorrow night to take photographs. Philippine politics is fun! Everyone participates! January 18, 2001 A lot of exciting things have been happening around Manila because of the political situation but my school insists on pushing through with classes. Bummer...I really wanted to climb on the overpass and perhaps mosh with the crowd... check out Inquirer.net for details on the political situation in the Philippines. January 16, 2001 The virus was called W32/Navidad-B ! My dad re-installed Windows to remove the damn thing last night. Today I found a website I wish I had been to sooner because it turns out, a simple batch file would have removed it. Strange, because both my antivirus software (PC-Cillin and Norton) didn't detect it! January 15, 2001 Dammit! My computer caught a virus or worm or whatever its called. I opened an attachment disguised as a Flash executable file called 'emanuel.exe'. Now ALL my program files won't open. Instead, a fake ICQ flower appears on the taskbar saying 'lets party!'. This really sucks !!!! January 13, 2001 My Saturday AS400 class was moved to Tuesdays and Thursdays ! Now I can enjoy a REAL weekend. :) January 11, 2001 School was lousy today. Especially my Professional Ethics class. The corporate world is so messed up. The teacher's stand on the issue discussed was horrible. But tonight was a lot cooler. Met up with Michael Turner who just came back from the United States. And I dragged my friend Mox to church who was shocked to see Donita Rose there ! I have a cool church. January 10, 2001 Woohoo ! I got to wake up late today ! I have only 1 class today that will start at 3pm ! Yesterday, I took my first class in Philippine Literature. Lucky for me, I'm enrolled in a 'special' filipino class for aliens. So everything about Philippine Literature will be taught in English. January 08, 2001 Thanks to everyone who posted their messages in the nOTES page! I just came home from my first day of school for the year. Did nothing for 6 hours though.
