True story about Tsunami survivors in Meulaboh [Edit]
Here is a story that shows our God in Heaven is the real God who protects and loves his children :)
God Protects His own!
We know that 80% of the town of Meulaboh in Aceh was destroyed by the Tsunami waves and 80% of the people also died. This is one of the towns that were hit the hardest.
But there is a fantastic testimony from Meulaboh. In that town are about 400 Christians. They wanted to celebrate Christmas on December 25th but were not allowed to do so by the Muslims of Meulaboh. They were told if they wanted to celebrate Christmas they needed to go outside the city of Meulaboh on a high hill and they can celebrate Christmas there.
Because the Christians desired to celebrate Christmas the 400 believers left the city on December 25th and after they celebrated Christmas they stayed overnight on the hill. As we all know, in the morning of Sunday, December 26 -2004, there was the earthquake followed by the Tsunami waves destroying most of the city of Meulaboh and thousands were killed. The 400 believers were on the mountain and were all saved from destruction.
Now the Muslims of Meulaboh are saying that the God of the Christians punished them for forbidding the Christians from celebrating Christmas in the city. Others are questioning why so many Muslims died while not even one of the Christians died there.
Had the Christians insisted on their rights to celebrate Christmas in the city, they would have all died. But because they humbled themselves and followed the advice of the Muslims they all were spared destruction and can now testify of God's marvelous protection.
This is a testimony of the grace of God and the fact that as believers we have no rights in the world. Our rights come before God and commit our lives to Him. Our rights are kneeling down before the Lord almighty and commit our ways to Him. He is our Father and is very capable to care for His children.
Praise the Name of the Lord!

Every time I receive my salary, I already set aside 10% of it for my tithe to the Lord even before the sunday comes, and every last sunday of the month , i also set aside the amount of money i pledge to give for the world mission partners. I made that pledge before I got married and when I was still in moonstar. And now, even if I don't get that much money compared to what i'm getting before, I decided to be faithful to my pledge for the Lord, coz I want to worship him even using my finances.
Last January 30, before going to church I already put my tithe in an envelope. I also put the money that i pledged in another envelope even if the schedule of giving that is on the next sunday pa, but when we took the cab going to church( we took a cab coz i have my guitar with me) , the taxi driver don't have change, so I ended up using my P100 bill from my tithes to pay him....so that leaves my tithe P100 short.. ......, so i decided to put my pledge money to replace it, but because my pledge money is a whole bill also, i decided to put my whole pledge money as tithes and offerings.... so i end up thinking, what's gonna happen to us for 2 weeks if I'll still use some of our money that's left to give as my pledge, coz my husband's salary was used already to pay for all the bills and also to pay for insurances like health and life that needs to be paid ( coz i had that 2 years ago and i still have 3 more years to pay for it) ......... but still, i decided to use our money that's left to give for my pledge (kaya nga pledge e.. heheh :P) and just trust on God....
......................then that Sunday afternoon, my friend met me coz she ask me if I can help them with their outreach in talayan village.. they're going to have free medical consultation, xray, etc..for the poor people near their village, and while the patients are waiting, they need some people to entertain them and share the gospel to them.. so me and my husband said yes,.... we went there and I sang 2 songs and shared my testimony on how God changed me and how God loves them so much... then when me and danny were about to go home, They gave us tikoy and a thank you card... then I was so shocked because inside the card was an amount i'm not expecting to receive... and I was really so blessed by it... coz God knows that we need it... then Sunday night, another friend of mine called me up, and ask if I can just teach their class for one hour about some basic essentials in voice for their public speaking class on wednesday... so I said yes... then when wednesday came, I had a fun time teaching the class, then after that, the class blessed me and gave me 2 books as a token of appreciation, then me and my friend went to the cafeteria to eat. My friend said, that their school office will give something pa to thank me next week...but after a few minutes, a lady from their school office gave me an envelope. inside of it was an amount I wasn't expecting again ... coz they gave me an amount as if I taught the class for 7 sessions :) (and i just taught them for 1 hour) and that amount is not a fee coz I didn't ask them to pay me, .... it's a gift to thank me... and that's why I'm so amazed how God works!!!!!!
God is my provider!!! and I don't need to be worried about anything!!!! I love you God!!!
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?" Matthew 6:25-27
8"Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do wo rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse- the whole nation of you- because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. test me in this,"says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cas their fruit," says the Lord Almighty. 12 "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the Lord Almighty. Malachi 3:8-12
"But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth and so confirms his covenant, which he swore your forefathers, as it is today." Deuteronomy 8:18
God doesn't need anything... hello? heheh He is God!! He wants us to give so that He can bless us more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) and How you give to God shows how much Faith you have in Him :) It's a matter of trust .... and a matter of what's in your heart... coz where your treasure is, there's where your heart is

Last Friday, I was invited to share my testimony and sing some songs at Capitol City Four Square church for their youth gathering. So I went there together with Sandy, Joe neil and Mel. When we arrived, the youth are already doing praise and worship, then suddenly, a guy came up to me , and then I was so surprised!!! coz it's JEFF LIMA- our drummer before when i was in the band called Orphan Lily.
Before moonstar88, I was already singing with the band orphan lily in 1995, then it was disbanded early 1998, then i just heard that Jeff plays drums with a showband.. and after that, i never heard any news about him... I was so happy to see him again... and it was in CHurch pa- .. He said he's been a christian since last year.. i wasn't able to stop my emotions... and tears just flowed on my face because of joy.. :) God is amazing..
... then Franklin approached us... Jeff plays drums with Franklin's band pala... grabe!!! Franklin used to be the drummer of Hungry Young Poets- the first band of Barbie Almalbis... then we remembered when we first met each other in FREEDOM BAR. Barbie is with Hungry Young Poets and I was with Orphan Lily.. and all of us that time never met the Lord... and now... GRABE!! we saw each other again and we're all serving God in our own ways.. :) God is amazing!! God's love changes people!!! yupyup.. God is in the business of saving souls and changing people from glory to glory!!! :)

God is the strength of my heart :) and my portion forever..
Fasting is not about getting what you want.... but it's about delighting in the Lord, knowing and agreeing with His will. :)

Prayer and Fasting [Edit]
Wow! What a way to start the New Year... ONE WEEK OF PRAYER AND FASTING.. :)
To humble ourselves to God, to seek God's will, to consecrate ourselves and to be more sensitive in the Holy Spirit.
Denying ourselves of our natural cravings, will make our spiritual antennas become sharper and will enable us to hear more clearly what the Holy Spirit is saying. :)
This is for another year of seeing people receive healing, salvation, promotion, direction, family, restoration, miraculous provision, and breakthroughs in our personal lives, families, finances and churches :) - (breakthrough ,vcf , 2005)
I'm excited in what God is going to do this year! ...
Attempt great things for God!
Expect great things from God!

Watching the news about the Tsunami will just make your heart melt with sadness because of the exuberant number of victims. Looking at it in a different perspective, I saw the power of God and God's mercy... the Philippines, was saved because of the countries surrounding it..
I also saw the unity of the people... giving what they can give- money, relief goods, doctors and nurses.....
sometimes, you'll just end up asking why this kind of calamity happens, and why God allows it to happen..... but yeah, God told us this will happen long before we were born... and it was already written in the scriptures...
To some people it's a wake up call...that their lives are not theirs. Some people will try to ask God why he allowed this to happen... but JESUs answered this question before... In Luke 13:1-4
Like what Pastor Joey Bonifacio said.. the issue here is not whether they're more guilty and we're not, and wether the calamity is natural or unnatural.. the issue is if we are sure of our destination... Do you know where you're going when you die?...
All of us have sinned against God.... but it's our choice if we want to receive God's mercy through what Jesus did on the Cross. All we have to do is turn away from our old way of life of sin and receive him as our Savior and Lord. Lord meaning, letting Him rule your life... All who received HIM, whether they have committed a terrible sin or not.. sin is still equal to sin whether small or big..,and all are under the same grace.. :) and are forgiven.. Thank you God..
